I am an artist living near Madison, Wisconsin. I truly thrive while painting on location from direct observation. I will entertain your guests while creating a cherished oil painting that will last for generations.
I am often approached when I am painting outdoors. People are so fascinated by what I am doing. Many say they’ve never seen anything like it before. They sometimes take pictures and it becomes a truly memorable experience for both of us.
Painting weddings is such a treat, because almost every guest will visit me while I’m painting. Many come by about every hour to see my painting progress throughout the wedding. I even let them put some paint on the canvas if they want to.
What to expect from live wedding painting
I will arrive to your event dressed for the occasion and set up my easel about 1 hour before the guests arrive. There is no need to slow down for me. You can live in your moment and I will take photos and videos from the sidelines to use for the painting details.
I will set up in the area of your choosing to finish the painting over the next 4-5 hours. If your guests approach me, I will enjoy talking to them about what I am doing.
I will pack up and leave with the painting. Over the next few weeks I add the finishing touches and varnish it for lasting protection. I can even have it framed or made into prints for an added cost.
I will finally deliver or ship it back to you once it’s dry and ready to be hung on the wall 4-6 weeks after the wedding.

Live wedding paintings start at $1500 in the Midwest. I have various packages to choose from and I’m willing to travel. Please contact me to see if your date is available and for a custom quote based on your wedding location.
